Accounts/Admin Assistant – Full Time, Permanent.​

Summary of Role

To assist with all areas of the Accounts/Office Admin, including (but not limited to) credit control, answering queries, requesting PO numbers and Sales invoicing, checking POD’s and Purchase Invoices

Measurements for Success

* Timely query resolution

* Accurate invoicing

* Continuous improvements of Credit Control

 

Main Duties: (Not limited to the following)

* Credit Control for the purpose of pro-active chasing. Highlighting any areas of potential bad debt, or risk of bad debt

* Matching and checking POD’s with Purchase invoices and inputting invoices accurately

* Ownership of queries and ensuring the timely resolution of such queries, replying promptly to both internal and external enquiries

* Filing and general administration

* Acquiring Purchase order numbers and raising accurate Sales invoices

* Other duties as delegated from time to time

* Answering the telephone for general enquiries and filtering generic accounts email

* Responsible for stock control of Stationery, placing orders as and when required.

 

Essential Work Skills

* Possess a good understanding of Excel, Word, Outlook

* Uses initiative to achieve results while promoting customer goodwill

* Ability to manage and prioritise workload

Preferred Work Skills

* Able to continuously improve the procedures to achieve maximum efficiency and accuracy

* Basic experience of a computerised accounting systems – preferably Sage 50

* Good keyboard skills and competence of Word, Outlook and Excel

* High standard of numeracy and accuracy with attention to detail

* A team player with a flexible approach and a willingness to learn

* Outgoing and confident personality who is able to operate at all levels

* A self-starter who is proactive and can set and achieve goals

* Prepared to rise to the challenge

* Ability to work with minimum supervision
